until you're looking back...

Unsure about you, but my Summer Solstice start to summer arrived with a 3 day power outage, dark nights that balanced the long days, running into people I hadnt seen in years, & sychronicities that were pretty wild.
Some days, we like to think we're in control. That we know what is going to happen. We know how the day ahead will look, or have some illusion that we're in control.
& to a degree, I think that's true..

But on other days, I'm more and more convinced we're just along for the ride. We can't predict what is going to happen & we can't control every outcome. & just when we think we have something completely figured out, life throws us a curveball just to remind us we never really know..

Some of yoga philosophy has helped me release the grip a little, step back, & watch things unfold. & I think that's growth. Embracing the curveball. Trusting the redirection.
Maybe we weren't meant to get to that meeting or go to that event bc something different is in the works.

I don't know if that's true... & I'm unsure if any of us will ever really know, but at least it gives a little more piece of mind, when there is an unknown. Less attachment. Less aversion. Less ego. Less ignorance. Less fear. (yoga kleshas for you)

Anyway, when I started this post, I wasn't quite sure where I was going with it either, & I think it ended up quite interesting.
Some things don't make sense until you're looking back.
